Does TraceLine work offline?
Yes. TraceLine is a local-first app. All fonts, pattern engines, and rendering happen on your device. After installing, you never need internet access to design or export files. Your work never leaves your phone.
Why can't I just use my cutting machine's design software for Arabic or Chinese text?
Mainstream cutting-machine software lacks proper text shaping for bidirectional (RTL) scripts and complex CJK character systems. Arabic text renders disconnected and left-to-right. Chinese characters may be missing strokes or render incorrectly. TraceLine shapes every character correctly — proper connections, strokes, and direction — before generating cut paths, which mainstream tools don't do.
What is the blade-lift issue and how does TraceLine fix it?
When a cut path doesn’t break properly at gaps in your text, the blade drags across and cuts unwanted lines into your material. TraceLine detects those gap points at export and builds the path so the blade lifts cleanly instead — crisp, professional cuts with no stray lines.
